shutting down my computer

when I try to shut down my computer I always get an end program notification...with Outlook.exe..as the reason even though I have closed my Outlook program. It also seems that I have a conflict with my HP 6110 all in one printer. I get an error message telling me that HP 6110 driver is preventing me from shutting down my computer. Does anyone have any answers??? It is very frustrating!
