Signing Templates

I am having a problem signing infopath templates. When I go to form options
and say full trust and select certificate I see no certificates to use. How
do I get certificates in there to use. We have an inhouse CA setup that I
have obtained a user certificate for myself but that will not show up in the
box when I click select certificate either. What kind of certificate do I
need to request from our in house CA and how do I get it to show up in the
box under form options whree you select the certificate to use for signing
the template.

Hi,

Try the Following steps to create a certificate

1. Run certmgr.msc from Start ->Run
2. Open Personal -> certificates
3. Right Click on Certificates -> All Tasks ->Request a New certificate
4. Create a new certificate and copy this certificate into the Trusted Root
Certification authorities
5. This will show up in the “Form options†when you select ‘Select
Certificate†and is Trusted.

ok, Are we talking about the same thing here? What I am talking about is
signing templates not signing data in forms. I just read that Microsoft says
for signing templates to use a code signing certificate.

Hi,

following this step:

Open a web browser
enter: http://yourcertserveur.com/certsvr
a page appear click: ask for a certificate
ask for a advanced certificate.
after Select first option (not CMC or PKCS#10)
type your information and in the type select code signing certificate.
and click send

Now the certificate is create but not available!

Go on your server and go in certificated authorithy in control panel,
administration tools!
go in the folder: requested (or waiting) certificate and you will see
your certificate right click on it and select all task and deliver!

Go back on your developpement PC:
go on the same page http://yourcertserveur.com/certsvr
select show the statut of the requested certificat
select your certificate
click install
Now your certificate is installed.

Now close and reopen infopath and in the popertie of your form you can
select your certificate for sign your form.

I'm french so it's possible that the name of the menu is not always
correct sorry!
