Single File Web Page or Web Page?

When saving as a Web page, when would I use Single File Web Page and when
would it be appropriate to select Web Page. I see the difference in what
happens as the Single file web page saves 1 file with an .mht extension (but
you can still view all slides in your browser) whereas the Web Page option
saves a file with an .htm extension and then an entire folder with additional
files inside. I'm not sure when or why I should select Single File Web Page
or Web Page.

Only use the MHT file type if you are absolutely certain that all of the
people who will be viewing the presentation as HTML will be using Internet
Explorer. Otherwise, be safe and use the regular HTML save.
My opinion. Take it or leave it as you desire:)

Thanks, Kathy that helps!...just a thought for the "Help" authors, etc.
For me, it is these kinds of questions that are never answered, not so much
the "How to", but the "Why." Most of the "help" answers how to check a
box.....I know how to do that, what I need to know is what will be the
result. I have not been able to find any good help besides the discussion
groups.....Thanks again!

*By the way, I noticed a posting in powerpoint answers.com regarding editing
the custom.dic. Since the dictionary is shared, I generally go to Word,
Tools/Options/Spelling Click Custom Dictionaries, Click Modify (with
custom.dic selected) and edit that way. It is neat, clean, and you don't
have to search around for the custom.dic file.......
