Slide show from a Publisher document

DebSam

Can anyone help me? I have a large Publisher document - perfect for my needs.
Now, however, I have been asked to present the document as a slide show. Is
there anything I can do to convert my Publisher Document to a Powerpoint one?
I have Office XP 2002 for both packages. I have tried converting the .pub to
..htm but it doesn't seem to work. I have tried exporting the Publisher
document to the Web and then trying to open the webpage up in Powerpoint but
that doesn't work either.

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

What *I* would do is convert it to a .pdf file. If that doesn't suit their
needs, I'd put each page in a separate PPT slide. There may be other ways to
do it but that's the first thing that came to my mind and I know I could
easily do that with the software I have.

Thanks Jo-Ann,

I have it in pdf form but I really need to present it on an overhead
projector from the pc - it's a training document, you see. It's really long
and I don't want to have to copy and paste it all into a ppt show if I can
help it!

Thanks

Why can't you just present it in the .pdf format?

How long is long? What version Publisher?
You can convert each page into a picture. Select all on a page, right-click,
save as picture. There are options about resolution and format type.

One of our lecturers last term presented his entire presentation as a
PDF file, and you'd never have known it wasn't a PowerPoint file. Use
the Full Screen option in Reader and page up/page down to navigate.

That's brilliant! That's just what I need - I think! I'll try it out on the
projector next week. I didn't fancy having to play around with the 50+ pages
copying and pasting etc.

Thank you
