slow after upgrade

Hi

I just upgraded to Office 2003 on my XP home laptop. The powerpoint has
slowed down significantly. When I type words, each character takes 2-3 secs
to come up. What's wrong?

Please help

I checked and something was running in the background using 100% of the CPU.

That's a good outcome, as 203 is supposed to run quicker than 2002
