Slow connection between prof and server and other issues

Hi,

I'm new to Microsoft Project Prof and Serv 2003. Our company is experiencing
serious problems related to Project Server 2003. After about a year of use
Project Proffessional needs usually more than 15 minutes to update the data
on the server. What's more there happens data corruption for some projects
and people need additional time to create it again. People experience
problems with publishing their updates (nobody can see their updates). There
also appear duplicate records. This makes people nervous, we are thinking
about different application.

Project Server runs on SQL Server 2k and Sharepont Services 2003. SQL Server
doesn't show any problems, databases are defragmented, logs cut. However,
Project Server generates some errors in system/application logs every day.
But as I saw, it does it even with empty database just after the
installation.

The applications run on a machine with 4 processors and 1 GB RAM (not sure -
maybe more memory is necessary ? )

I really don't know the reason of the issues, can anybody help ?

thanks in advance for any suggestions,

Bidzis

I wonder if any of your resources were properly trained. This is the type of
multi-faceted complaint we hear when a system is poorly planned and managed.
You're asking a lot of broad questions and providing very little specific
detail. I think you need to invest a little more time in asking your
questions. If you want to know about what causes an error message, then you
MUST post the contents of the error. I can't access your server event log,
can I?

Project Server does **NOT** generate errors in the application event log
every day if it is installed and configured properly, so it would seem as
though that would be a good place to start your investigation. Try posting
one issue at a time and be conscientious about providing detail.
