Hello,

I've been having huge problems with slow excel. Especially copy and paste operations. Even copying a single cell will take several seconds...

I read a post on this forum with a workaround saving a workbook to xml, and then back to excel format. This works very well. However, the problem also happens when a create a new workbook. So each time I need a new workbook I have to go through the XML routine. Is there still no real fox for this problem?

I am allready running service pack 2. The problem existed before the snow upgrade too!

Thanks,
Martin

What happens if you go to Edit/Go To/Special... Select "Objects", then click
OK? Does Excel find anything? Is there any chance it finds many invisible
objects? We've found that copying/pasting data from certain types of web
pages can result in invisible objects in the workbook, and when this number
gets large enough, it can dramatically slow down Excel's copy/paste
operations.

Does this happen with all workbooks, or just with some?

Thanks,

Pat
