Slow down text highlight speed

My text hightlights too fast when I am selecting it with my cursor. When I
hit the bottom of the window in Word it goes so fast I can't stop it before
it highlights several pages of text. Help!

Try using your keyboard instead of your mouse to select text. Click at the
beginning of the selection area, hold down the Shift key, and use the arrow
keys and/or Page Down key to select.

I gather you aren't using Word 2002 or Word 2003?

If not then your choices are:
- Upgrade to at least Word 2002
- Downgrade your processor
- Use another method of text selection such as the keyboard as
Garfield described. Or my favorite, if you have a wheel mouse, hold
the left mouse button and roll the scroll wheel instead of dragging.
