slow response time when envoking File/Open

Hello,

Recently on one of our PC's we are experiencing up to 30
second delay when clicking on File/Open in Word 97 running
on Windows 2000.
The delay appears to happen the first time File/Open is
selected, after which it responds normally. Any ideas as
to what could be causing this?
