Two solutions come to mind immediately. I am sure someone else will post up
some great ideas as well. I am assuming you are using Project2003. This
will not work in 2007:

First, create a view that has the desired information on it. Use flags and
filters to display only the desired rows/columns, etc. Then, use File/Save
As... and select HTML as a file type. A wizard will launch and you can
identify the specific Project Fields you desire in your output. The
flag/filtering will take care of a portion of it as well. When you are done
with the wizard, you will have an HTML page that has the deisred table. The
first time through is a bit tough, but you can't hurt or break it so just use
trial and error until you get what you want.

Option2: There are some 3rd Party toys that will be helpful. They are
listed on the URL below under companion products. Two that I use a lot are
Decision Charts and Kidasa Milestones Professional 2006. Both of these
products are compatible with MS Project 2007 -- they work fine for me.

I am using project 2007
I dont know what field to use to show the percentage of resource over
allocation that is the big problem that i have

Use the Resource Usage view and show percent allocation in the timephased
grid. (right click in the grid, select detailed styles, apply Percent
allocation to the "Showed field")
Apply the task data preferred to the resource table.

Hope this solves your problem

Hi Natalie,

I believe the closest you will get is to add the Peak Units field to the
Usage table (left side of the Resource Usage view). The Peak Units is a
resource's highest assignment value and if the assignment value (Peak)
exceeds the resources Maximum Units, the resource is overallocated in
Project's definition. You could add the Max. Units as a reference point
as well.

You can add the Overallocation field to the timescaled (right side) of
the Resource Usage view to see how many hours the resource is "over
assigned" on any day or week.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
