Sort List in Resource Names Column

Hi - Help! I have been racking my brain on this one...
We work with a resource sheet that was created from our Outlook address
book. Our resource sheet works great; but the list that is presented in the
Resource Names column in the Gantt Chart view is always in a different sort
order! How can I resort this list alphabetically by last name?

While you can sort by name, you can't sort by LAST name because in Project
there is only only one field containing both the first and last names and
you can't come up with a rule that will unambiguously identify the substring
that is the last name for all possible names in the list. The only way you
can do it is to insure that the all of the names are entered 100%
consistently in "LastName, FirstName" order for each entry. This is one of
those issues where I'd be asking myself "Does it really matter - will it
make a difference in how well I can manage the project?" and probably find
myself answering "Not very much" <grin>.

Also, the resource names column in the gantt chart, when viewed as a column
of all the tasks viewed from top to bottom, is the order of the tasks,
probably in order of the tasks' start dates. For an individual task viewed
within the resource field for that task I think it's the order they were
assigned to the task.
