Sorting contacts

Can someone tell me a way to seperate email addresses in the tree form on
the left side of the address book. For example having folders under the
contacts folder that I can click on and pick from the addresses. I am not
talking about a Group. I want to pick names from a selected group under
contacts. If I group names, I have to send to the whole group. I want to
pick names from the group instead of picking from the hundreds I have in the
contacts folder. I know this has got to be possible, I just don't have any
idea what I am looking for.

I don't understand why you wouldn't use the Outlook Address Book for this.
That's what it's for.
