Sorting & Page Breaks

I HAVE A LARGE TELEPHONE DIRECTORY THAT I CONVERTED FROM
LOTUS 1-2-3 TO EXCEL OVER 10 YEARS AGO. IT HAS BEEN VERY
RELIABLE, WITH VERY FEW PROBLEMS.

HOWEVER, ALL OF A SUDDEN, WHEN TRYING TO SORT, I'M GETTING
AN ERROR MESSAGE THAT I CANNOT DO THIS FUNCTION BECAUSE
ALL THE CELLS NEED TO THE SAME SIZE!

HELP!!

ps....if I get 2 ??: the only persistent, other, problem
that I've had since converting is it will not accept page
breaks! I've changed to Excel and upgraded several times,
but it won't take!

Have you accidentally merged any cells? Merged cells can cause errors like
this.

So you do know how to turn off CAPS Lock. Good!

What do you mean by 'it will not accept page breaks'? You can't insert them?
Excel won't read them when you've saved workbooks with them using different
software of different machines?
