Sound effects missing

The chime sound that use to alert me to a new groove message, and the
"whoosh" that would occur when I hit "send" no longer sound. How can I
restore them?

Hi,

There is no configuration for these sounds from the Groove UI, check your
sound settings to make sure they are working correctly.

Crazy. Every other sound works, and a Groove istallation on another OS on
this same computer works fine. I tried uninstalling Office and reinstalling:
same problem.

I guess I'll wait for Office 2010...
