This is very petty, but there is not sound when opening, using or saving a document. I liked this feature, so when I saves a document I used to know when it had finished saving.

Check Excel's General preferences to make sure you have "provide feedback
with sound" checked.

Make sure the 12.1.4 update has been running. I notice a while ago when
I up graded on the machines I am writing this from, that one of the
items that was upgraded was sounds.

sounds working and not working in Office has been a constant problem all
the way back to Word 6.0.1a and excel 5.0.1a.

I would have set one time they would work next they wouldn't, you go to
preference they would be set. But you click the setting off quite
preferences and go back and set on and they would start working again.

Perhaps after 20 years they have finally figured what to do to make them
stick.
