Go to Tools | Options, click the E-mail Options button on the Preferences
tab, then click the Advanced E-mail Options button. There is a section
called "When new items arrive in my Inbox" (it may be different in your
version of Outlook -- you didn't mention what version you have). In that
section there should be a "Play a sound" box -- make sure that box is
checked. Also, you can go into Windows Control Panel | Sounds and you
should be able to choose a particular sound file there (for "New Mail
Notification").
