SP3 problems

Since installing SP3 for Office 2007 I am unable to start or use any of the
programs except in crippled safe mode. The installer begins but absolutely
nothing happens, judging by the bars, although there is a lot of hard drive
activity, even after letting the process go on for an hour.
If that is normal behavior that is insane.
Do I have to delete/reinstall Office 2007 and avoid SP3 in the future?
I sincerely hope that Microsoft executives have to use Office 2007 and Vista
with the level of support that end users have.

There is only SP1 for Office 2007. Where did you
find a SP3 from?

As Carey says -

There is no SP3 for Office 2007. There IS an SP3 for Office 2003, and there
is an SP1 for Office 2007. There is also an SP3 for Windows XP, and an SP1
for Windows Vista. So, which SP did you actually apply?

You may want to uninstall and reinstall your Office, just to ensure you have
the right stuff there.
