Word only opens in safe mode after installing Office 2003 SP3

I just reinstalled Office 2003 Student/Teacher edition, Word worked fine. I
downloaded and installed the latest XP updates and Office 2003 SP3, and now I
get an error message that Word has to close and then the option to open it in
safe mode. This is why I uninstalled and reinstalled Office. Is there a way
to fix this, or should I just get rid of Office 2003 SP3?

Hi,
If you can open as safe mode, there might be related external (3rd party)
modules on Office 2003.
Above all, you should get rid of Add-ons & programs you don't need to use.
If it still works abnormal, you need to contact Microsoft Support center.
There're some possiblities as regression bug or Trouble
