Specify Template for "New Window"

Is there a way to specify the Project template that is opened when selecting
"New Window..." from the Window menu? Project currently opens the "Blank
Project" template, but I'd rather have a different project template opened.

Why not New File from the File menu? That gives you the choice

Yes, but I am trying to consolidate several projects in to one using New
Window and then selecting open projects to consolidate. All projects to be
consolidated are created from a template, so I'd like that same template
applied to the consolidated project.

I suppose using "insert project" will accomplish the same, so will try that
using the template I want.
