Spell check keeps apprearing after closing out

Spell check box won't go away!

In any OFFICE program the spell check box keeps reapprearing even after being
"x-ed" out. I can't type anything, or use any commands. I don't want to
shut it off, but I tried and that didn't work either. I also reinstalled
everything and it's still happening. HELP! I'm using someone elses computer
but I need mine, I have a paper due.
