Spell Check Reset

D

Dave

My child has erroneously added some incorrect words to the spell check dictionary so that when we run spell check it now bypasses these incorrect word spellings. I'm trying to reset the dictionary to its original form when I installed Word. How do I fix this to the original setting? Do I need to reinstall Word?

The personal dictionary is a text file custom.dic - you can edit it with
Notepad (or even Word) or you can edit it from tools > options > spelling &
grammar in Word.

Reinstalling Word will not affect this file.

Use Windows explorer to search on your had drive for a file with the name
Custom.Dic. Double click on that file to open it and remove the words that
you do not want.
