How do I spell check a scanned document? I received the message: Text
marked with "Do not check spelling or grammer ' was skipped.

You can't. A scanned document is a graphic image, not editable text that can
be spell-checked. You would have to run the scan through an optical
character recognition (OCR) program to convert it into text.

Assuming that you have OCR'd the doc so that it is actually text and not a
picture, use Ctrl+A to select the entire document, then go to Tools |
Language | Set Language and make sure that the correct language is selected
and that the "Do not check spelling or grammar" box is not checked.
