Hello,

I have a setup where project server and database server are on separate
machines. When i try to connect project server using project professional, i
get a SQL login prompt which ask for database server access information. How
to make it in such a way that it automatically understands which is the
associated SQL server and do not ask for login prompt everytime.

In fact in my development area where project server and database server are
on same machines this type of prompt do not come.

Please help!!

Thanks

Is your Production SQL server set to use TCPIP?
Are the machines in the same domain?
What happens when you select the checkbox in the prompt to "use trusted
connection?"

Was there a solution posted for this problem. I am experiencing it on half
my Project Professional 2003 clients. All can connect to the Project server
web fine.

Hello Warren,

From KB 839437...

The PSCOMPlus tool is used to specify the accounts you want Microsoft Office
Project Server 2003 to use when it accesses Microsoft SQL Server 2000
Analysis Services and Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services. PSCOMPlus.exe
can also be found in the \BIN\1033 folder of your Project Server
installation.

For more information about this tool, see the Microsoft Office Project
Server 2003 Installation Guide
(http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/LinkId=20233).
