Start show on specific slide

Zack Barresse

Hello,

How would I start a presentation on a specific slide? Not sure if there is
a native feature for this or if I have to result to VBA. I know Excel VBA
so I'm somewhat familiar with VBA, just not the PowerPoint Object Model.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Okay, found it. My apologies. Thought I'd looked through the SlideShow
menu earlier. SlideShow | Set Up Show | Show slides | From..To.

Thanks.

Excellent Zack, it is always rewarding to find your own answers (usually
because you find out the answers to questions you'd ask later if you hadn't
already found the answer), but there are additional ways of starting on
various slides.

1) If you are in edit view and running 2003, than press Shift+F5 keys to
start on that slide.

2) If you are in edit view and running 98, 2000, 2002, or 2003; then press
the little screen icon (looks like a popsicle) in the lower left corner of
the edit screen, to start on the current slide

3) Select the slides before the one that you want to start on and hide them
(SlideShow => Hide Slide) then just press F5

4) VBA (but we don't need to go there, now do we?)

5) SlideShow => Set-up Show => Show Slide From/To

Thanks Bill, much appreciated!

Yes, am using 2003. Very nice to know. I'm a huge sucker for shortcut
keys, so the Shift + F5 will be great for me. I'm also a huge sucker for
VBA, so I may get fancy with this one down the road and give this a custom
menu or toolbar or something. LOL!

Appreciate the help.
