Start-Up Menu in Windows XP

When I click start, then All Programs then start-up in
Windows XP, there is a small flag in that menu that says
Office..............Does this mean Office is running when
my computer starts?

Yes, a component of Office is running at startup. Office preloads some
things that help its performance over the course of your computing session.
