Starting a slide show from a certain slide number

Anthony

When I am creating a slide show I have the thumbnails on the left and the
slide I'm working on, on the right. If I want to start the slide show I hit
F5. What if I want to start the slide show from slide 30 or any other slide
number, how do I do that?

Thanks.

While you are in slide show mode, just type in the slide number you want to
start on and hit return. The show will take you to that specific slide.

There are a couple of ways, depending on what version of PowerPoint you are
running.

If you are running a version prior to 2003 and have the slide you want to
start on selected, than use the small Icon that looks like a projector
screen in the lower left corner of the edit pane. You can also use Rich's
suggestion of F5 then type 30 <Enter> to begin the show at the beginning and
quickly jump to slide 30.

If you are using PowerPoint 2003, there is a keyboard shortcut (I believe)
it is Alt + F5 that will begin the show on slide 30.
