Starting Out of Office assistant without starting outlook

In the past it was possible to setup an out-of-office
message without starting outlook and entering your intray.

Is this still possible with the latest versions ie.
2000/2002?

You have to set up OOO in Outlook or Outlook Web Access, but it runs from
the Exchange server (so you can then close Outlook).
