Starting Outlook starts Windows Installer

Every time when I open my Office Outlook Windows Installer starts and tries
to configure my trial version of Visual Studio 2005 Professional If the disk
is not in the CD drive windows Installer pops up with a window stating where
it wants to read the install file from. Fortunately I can do a double cancel
and the installer has had enough and quits. This is the only product in the
Office family that triggers this behavior.

Few moths ago I had similar symptoms with Excel. Every time I started Excel
2003 Windows Installer tried to install and configure office 2003. A file
sku112.cab was missing. I found a fix for this. In most cases it is enough to
start Excel in a safe mode but it did not work completely for me until I
suddenly got an update for my Windows Installer by Windows update besides
other thing i wont go into. In the mean time I had contacted an Excel
specialist at Microsoft who helped me somewhat.

I haven’t seen anything about fix for this trouble regarding Outlook and
Visual Studio though. Hope someone has this figured out
