Still losing pictures

I am still losing my graphics!

Here is what has happened:

Originally, I started to edit an existing file. Most of the pictures
were already there. I added some pictures and text using the insert
picture from file method. After saving and re-opening the next day, I
had lost all of the old images but still had the ones that I had just
added. I replaced all of those pictures using the graphics Manager by
clicking on the empty picture in the Graphics Manager and selecting
replace picture. After saving and re-opening the next day, now they
are all gone. I am using windows metafile images.

Today, I placed several pictures using the insert picture from file
link to file method, and they all dissapeared after saving and
restarting. I tried to repeat it again, but they stayed. It is very
inconsistent.

I still wonder if it is in my saving process....

Are you still using an edited old publication? Have you thought about starting
from scratch?

Mary,

I read the other thread, and all the suggested fixes. Is it possible the
problem is associated in some way with cwilliamson using Pub 2000 or older
clipart, *.wmf files? Is there a KB about not being able to view the old
clipart in Pub 2003? Just an idea...

I read the article, and I almost suggested the poster read it. It suggests
setting the monitor to 16-bit color. Maybe it is Mr. Williamson's solution.
