Stopping "configure" every time starting different version of Acce

Hi Folks,

when I start Access 2003 after running 2007 a configure routine starts,
likewise when I start 2007 after 2003. For PowerPoint there is a fix, is
there one for Access?

TIA,

No, there is no fix. I'd be interested in knowing the fix for PowerPoint, as
my understanding is that the issue is Office-wide.

No, there is no fix.

Hmm. I just had it happen the other day after installing the useless
Office upgrade evaluation kit (which uses the Access 2007 runtime
and an ACCDB but requires SQL Server for its data store -- how
incredibly stupid is that? Sure, in a corporate setting, you may be
evaluating hundreds of desktops, but ferchrissakes, why not offer
the option?), and when I opened A2003, it happened. It occured to me
that if I changed the permissions for the appropriate registry keys,
I should be able to prevent it. Dunno what side effects that might
have, but it did occur to me as a possible way to avoid it.

I have been able to turn it off for Office 2007 but not Office 2003. The same
goes for Excel and Word there is a registry fix for this I have found works
great.

Please post that registry fix.
