Strange Thing

Just wondering has anyone seen this where Outlook goes
out to an Exchange server and says that it sends/recieves
fine but will not display the new email unless you get
out of the inbox and then go back into the inbox. It's
kind of like it's not refreashing properly. Anyone got
any ideas.

Thanks

The problem is that the UDP packets that Exchange uses to notifiy Outlook of
changes aren't making it to Outlook. This could be because of a firewall on
your machine or something on your network (a firewall, router, etc.)
blocking them. Talk to your network administrator and have him/her look at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;815052, which might
be the problem. If that doesn't help, you can make the registry changes in
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q305572 (for Outlook
2002) or http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q304849
(Outlook 2000) to cause Outlook to periodically ask Exchange if there have
been changes rather than waiting for Exchange to tell it.
