Sub Forms

Can someone please help me with this - can't be a difficult one...........

I have a form - the data source is a GROUP query therefore it is not
updateable.
However, I do need to update a couple of fields so I have introduced a
Sub-Form, linked by the Client_ID.

However, Once I update the sub form, I get a message saying that the record
has been updated by someone else since I opened it.
Of course, the sub form is updating the record!

I have tried to Refresh and Requery the Form but still get the message.

Anyone any ideas please? Or is there a better was around this?
