Subscribing in Outlook

Where do I find the actual names for the newsgroups to
subscribe in Outlook? The names I copy from Microsoft
don't seem to work and I get "cannot find server" errors
when I use them. I'm also looking for Excel and Word.
Any help is appreciated.

You can't "subscribe" to newsgroups in Outlook - you have to use Outlook
Express (or some other Newsreader) for that.

Let me rephrase this: I use the newsreader in Outlook
and cannot find the NNTP name it requires to sign up, and
it won't let me look for any unless I subscribe to at
least one. Does anyone know the names to add to my
newsreader to subscribe? I had them all set up and I.T.
came in over the weekend to do upgrades and deleted
everything. Thanks for the help.

Hi Nathalie,

The server is msnews.microsoft.com. This newsgroup is
microsoft.public.outlook.general. There is a whole set of
microsoft.public.outlook newsgroup. Just use the search facility in your
newsreader to locate them all.

Hope this helps!
