Subweb form problem

F

Fredric

I've got a puzzle.

The following are equivalent and access exactly the same
directory.

domainname.com/subweb = subweb.com

The form on the following works:

domainname.com/subweb/feedback.html

The form on the following doesn't - The user gets
prompted to login

subweb.com/feedback.html

What is going on? And more importantly, what do I do
about it?

Thanks.

Without having it in front of me, I could not be certain, but with
permissions, its all about how you get there.

For instance on a server you have a share called "Share" You can get to it
by typing \\server\share or you can get to it by typing f:\directory\share
both point to the same, but depending how your permissions are assigned you
may or may not have to authenticate.

You are evidently getting there by a share that your user (IUSR?) does not
have permissions to, but the other way you do. Check how your permissions
are assigned.

Hope that helps.
