Sudden increase in file size

Hi,

I was working on a project file which suddenly became read only when I tried
to save it (it had been fine before this and was opened as a read-write
file). It has a resource pool as a separate file.

As a result, I saved a copy of the file so I didn't lose my work and fixed
the share resources but the file size suddenly jumped from about 312k to
143MB!

Any idea what could be causing this?

I suspect a corrupt file, you could try the suggestions in FAQ Item: 43.
File Bloat? - Might be Corruption.
