Summary roll up of actual hours worked by day???

In MSP 2002 our resources were accustomed to using PWA to see thier tasks and
enter actual hours worked each day against those tasks. In PWA 2002 resources
were able to see a summary at the bottom of the "timesheet" as they entered
time.

In MSP 2007 I am unable to figure out how to present this type of view, does
anyone know if that is possible?

In the "My Tasks" page I have used the edi mode to select the option for
'hours by day' which then shows a break down by day allowing company
resources to enter hours worked under the correct date column for a given
task but then the "My Tasks" page doesn't seem to offer a roll up at the
bottom of the columnt like occurs in MSP 2002.

Additionally from a PM perspective i had views set up in MSP 2002 to see
actuals for a given resource on a week by week basis. I can get the resources
isolated in various views and display actual work but can't narrow down the
time range to one week. Is this possible?

Any assistance is much appreciated!!

Unfortunately, the My Tasks page does not show daily totals at the bottom,
even if you add the "Hours per day" option for the Web part. Beyond this,
the Resource Assignments page no offers a Timesheet mode, such as you saw
previously in Project Server 2002. One option you can use as a substitute,
however, is a Data Analysis view that shows each resource's Actual Work on a
daily basis. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale. This is unfortunate. My org is asking for this functionality as
well. Is there any way to do this with custom programming?? If so, any ideas?

Thank You, Laura

Many things are possible through custom software development. I would
suggest you post this question in the microsoft.public.project.developer
newsgroup and let our software developers comment on your question. Hope
this helps.
