Is there a way in word to type in a circle and make it so that your words are in a circle starting small in the center and growing as you type?

Not in Word. One program that can do it is Corel Draw. If you create the
picture as a graphic file (bmp, gif or jpg), you can import it into Word.

G'Day 'me',

NOT in a circle - however investigate
'Insert'>'Picture'>'Wordart'.

You will find 'shapes' that you can insert,
together with Colour, Colour blend, texture,
shadow etc etc.

You may find something to suit.
