Switch Between Two Animated GIFS

Doers anyone know how to have two animated gifs occupy the
same space on a web page and alternate between them at
some frequency?

Use JavaScript and the setInterval function.

Thanks for your help, but that doesn't really tell me how
to do it. I was able to write some Javascript using the
browser to trigger the images onLoad event handler for
each frame of an animated image and count frames loaded
and displayed. This allows me to let an animation run to
completion before switching to another.
