symantec fax starter edition

RuthNB

I've installed Office 2007 and keep getting an error message in Outlook (it
tries to send a message using Symnayec Fax Starter Edition). When I tried to
remove that program I find it is NOT listed in my Add/Change programs menu.
Hope someone can help!

I had 2003, purchased and installed 2007; removed 2003. Is this what you
wanted to know?

Doesn't fit. WinFax Starter edition hasn't been around since Outlook 2000.
You can't uninstall Outlook 2003 after you install Outlook 2007. We need to
know exactly what you did to figure out where this problem is. Operating
system would be nice to know as well.

Windows XP

I installed Office 2007 on my laptop as well and am not having any problem
there.

If I click on "Tools" and "Send/Receive"on my desktop lt lists Symantec Fax
Starter as well as "All gropus" and "pop1 ...".

Doesn't fit. WinFax Starter edition hasn't been around since Outlook 2000.

At one point then you must have had Outlook 2000 installed on this
partition. Can't you just remove the fax account from your list of mail
accounts, or disable it from Send/Receive?

You might want to consider creating a new Outlook profile. I'm suspect there
are some other troublesome leftovers from your previous installations that
might bite you. It's always best to create a new profile from scratch when
you attempt an in place upgrade. That procedure does not work well.

I don't recall ever setting up a "profile" - probably done by the tech guy
who sold me the computers. Any hints as to how to accomplish this?
