Sync Unfiled Notes

Am I missing something or is there a way to sync the Unfiled Notes section
between computers. I am using OneNote 2007 on a Vista laptop and a XP
desktop. I already have all of my other notebooks synced beautifully, but
for some reason I can't get the Unfiled Notes section to sync.

YesNo:
1.) Contrary to the normal notebooks which are opened "shared", the
"Unfiled Notes"-notebook by default are stored on a *local* drive (in
the notebooks' standard directory).
Therefore these can not be synched.

I think that this default is based in the idea that the "unfiled" things
are meant for just temporary usage and normally should be sorted (moved)
to the proper notebook in a regular basis.

2.) It is possible, however, to replace the locally held "Unfiled
Notes"-notebook by the corresponding notebook in the shared device.
If set if like that the items will be properly synched.

Way to go:
Under "Tools | Options | Storage" change the path for the "Unfiled
Notes" to the storage location of the "Unfiled Notes"-notebook in the
Desktop.

When done so, you'll see the sync-icon on the notebook's TitleBar in the
navigation bar and this indicates that a shared notebook on the desktop
is used.

You're right, they probably never intended unfiled notes to be a
destination, but I find that things I send to Unfiled Notes often sit in
unfiled notes for a time until I can put it where it needs to go.

Same on my side. I can be really lazy in so far <bg>.
An having unfiled stuff in two location can easily cerate a total mess.
And that's why in a very early stage of using ON I changed the defaults
to using one notebook for the not yet sorted stuff.
