It will not setup. I went into regedit, I tried another user, even a
new install. It will not setup.

Windows 2000 pro, sp4 and trying office 2000

I have never had this problem before! very weird. VERY weird.

gigabyte with p3 500 proc.

more information:

computer is using a broadband modem as a network, single family pc user,
with only one other computer using the modem (actiontec 4 port)

win2kpro and symantec antivirus were already installed.
