Table Sorting Troubles

H

Howie J.

Using Word. We have a table which is a list of mailing lables. The table is
currently formatted to reflect the lables we are printing on. We have added
some entries to the bottom of the list and now would like to Sort the list.
We are not able to do this. We are currently trying - Edit>Select All,
Table>Sort. Still no luck, please advise.

Hi Howie,

I suspect that when you say the table is formatted to reflect the labels,
you mean that each cell contains a multiple-line address. Word can't sort
that kind of thing properly. The best way to handle this is to reformat the
document to make it a mail-merge source. Complete instructions are at
http://www.gmayor.com/convert_labels_into_mail_merge.htm.
