Task Duration days automatically change

I am entering task duration in working days, my calendar is set to my own
calendar that includes holidays.

The software is automatically changing the task duration to the number of
calendar days the task will take.

Why is this happening? I don't have individual task calendars. Do I just
have to start all over again from scratch? I'm thinking so, because some
global parameter has gotten messed up.

1) Check to be sure that the standard calendar is set correctly.
2) Check to make sure you are not entering eDays (elapsed)
3) When you say calendar days you mean it is counting non-working times as
working time?
