task duration in hours

I have started a project with a 24hr calander in which tasks are in hours.
For some reason, the bar graph of .5 hours looks the same length as 1 hour.
Is there a way to properly show the duration on the graph side of the Gantt
chart?

Are the bars the same if you zoom in on the timescale to show it in
hours instead of days?

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

You might also want try unchecking the setting in Format/Layout.../Round
bars to whole days.
