Task Percent Complete

I have a web application developed by "Visual Studio.NET 2003".
I am using "Microsoft Project Server 2003", and "Microsoft Office Project
2003"

Using my web application i will change the Task Percentage Complete in a
certain task in a project.
This could be done by changing the ("TASK_PCT_COMP" field in the table
called "MSP_TASKS") in the Project Server DB.

After changing the (task percent complete) in the "Project Server DB"
through my application,

When i open this Project Plan through the "Microsoft Office Project 2003"
,If this project task is a sub task , which means it is part of a main task,
i see that the
(% complete) column for the sub task has been changed,
but the (% complete) column for the main task which includes this sub task
has not been changed at all.

So what i need,
Is that when i change the (% Complete) for a certain task in a certain
project in
"the Project Server DB" through my .NET Application,
This change affects the "% complete" column in the (sub task) as well as the
(main task) which contains this sub task.

Please this is very urgent.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Hi,

Unless you have Calculation set to manual in Tools, Options, Calculation, or
unless the task has a zzro duration, %complet of the summary task DOES
change.
