Task Time of Day Mysteriously Changed

All of my tasks were running 8 to 5 and then mysteriously, they began to run
8 to 3:30?

Any ideas on why this happens? I'm sure it's something that I'm doing that
I'm unaware of. Possibilities:
- Moved a task
- Customized one resources calendar - specifically I gave her longer work
days for three days in December.

Imagine 5 tasks each lasting 1 day (8 hours - remember Project always tracks
in hours & minutes and entering a duration as "X days" is really entering it
as "X times hours per day" hours) starting Monday and a resource working an
8 hour day. The tasks will fall nice and tidy between 8 and 5 on each day.
Now increase her work hours to 10 hours on Wednesday. The task's durations
are still 8-8-8-8-8 but now she gets a jump start on Thursday's task -
Wednesday evening she can get 2 hours of the work she would have previously
done on Thursday morning completed. So when Thursday starts she only has 6
hours of that task remaining to do and it'll finish at 3pm. Friday's task
would now start Thur afternoon at 3 and finish Friday at 3. What is a bit
bizarre is your statement that they are starting at 8am so there's something
else involved here as well but I think this is the basic explanation for
what you're seeing.
