Task Usage View-adding "cost" row

Microsoft Project 2003

I am looking at the Task usage view and an example in a book (Show Me
Project 2003). The example in the book shows an additional "Cost" row under
the "Work" row. I only see the row "work" in my screen. How do I add a "Cost"
row to the view?

Hello Karen,

I assume you wish to add the Cost field to the timescaled (right) side
of the view.

Choose Format > Detail Styles to display the Detail Styles dialog box.
On the Usage Details tab, scroll the available fields list on the left,
select Cost. Click the Show >> button to add the field to the Show
these fields list on the right. You may adjust the order using the Move
buttons and change the background color using the options at the bottom
of the dialog box. Click OK to apply.

You may also use the shortcut menu by clicking your secondary mouse
button over the right side of the view and selecting detail styles.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
