Tasks and Contacts

When I select a Contact from my Contacts folder in Outlook to be associated with a given task, sometimes it will list the Contact name as First Name Last Name and other times Last Name, First Name. All of my contacts are stored in Contacts as Last Name, First Name so I cannot see why the Tasks randomly decides to display some differently. If anyone knows how to adjust the setting to make the Contact column in tasks display consistently . . . please advise.
