Hi all
We have a task which we are trying to "complete". We have Managed Periods
turned on in our implementation so I know we just can't set the task to 100%
complete. There is no remaining work on the task nor on any of the underlying
assignments (the task has 3 Assignments, all in the Enterprise Resource Pool).
MS Project 2003 has recognised that each assignment has completed the task
but it will not complete the task. What we have tried is to set the Remaining
Duration to 0 but then we get the usually Actuals may be out of synch
message, even though each of the underlying assignments is fully completed. I
have checked manually each assignment after setting the remaining duration to
zero and no additional work has been assigned to any assignment. We have also
tried to set the Actual Finish to be the date that the latest assignment has
recorded time - same thing - "Actuals are out of synch".
I am at a wit's end on how we can get this thing to complete and it is
eroding a lot of confidence in the product with our Project Managers.
I would really appreciate some thoughts on what is happening here.
