Team Lead Approval

What type of permission etc. do I need to check in order to have the Team
Lead Role view and "O.K." an team member's percent complete update? When I
have the Team Lead delegate the task, I have them assume the lead role for
the Team Member. When the PM approves the delegation, the TM updates the
task and a dialogue box opens up and says that the task has been sent to the
TL for approval. When I log in as the TL, there is nothing there to update
and/or approve. What am I missing?

It would help if you told us what version of Project Server you are using.
2002, 2003, 2007?

The delegated task will appear on the View My Tasks page for the Team Lead.
He/she cannot actually approve or reject the update the way that the PM
does. All he/she can do is to review the update and then update it to the
PM for approval. Hope this helps.

The problem I am having is that when the TM updates that task so that the TL
can update it to the PM, the task is not showing in any view that is
available to the TL. In other words, the TM is updating the task to the TL
and the TL does not have any way to Udate it to the PM. It is not an option
available to the TL. What permissions etc must be set for this to happen?

As I stated earlier, the updated task information appears on the View My
Tasks page for the Team Lead. Are you saying that the Team Lead cannot see
the View My Tasks page?

Yes, he can view the page. What I think is supposed to happen is that when
the TM updates the delegated task, a window pops up and says that 1 task has
been sent to the TL for approval (which is happening). When the TL logs into
PWA shouldn't the TL see an update for him to view from his home page which
is not happening)? The TL can view the my tasks page, but should theTL
recieve a notification that the TM has sent him a task? If not, then I
apologize for using up your time.

You are making a series of incorrect assumptions about how the task
delegation process works. The answer is "No" to your two questions. Again,
let me reemphasize that the Team Lead cannot Approve task updates for tasks
that he/she delegated to a team member. He/she can only review the updates
on his/her View My Tasks page and then update them to the Project Managers
for approval. That's how it works. Hope this helps.
